Émile P. Torres is a critical theorist and philosopher known for analyzing the ideological foundations and eugenic underpinnings of AI development, particularly within longtermism and AGI movements. In "The TESCREAL Bundle" (co-authored with Timnit Gebru), Torres traces how contemporary AI utopianism inherits historical eugenicist thinking and examines what psychological and philosophical motivations drive technologists to pursue god-like artificial intelligence.
